When traceability is paramount
The Aero Space counterfeit parts market is a multibillion dollar industry.
Sometimes it is indeed very difficult to differentiate a counterfeit part from a certified part. Even experts have difficulties sometimes to locate the bad parts.
Aerospace certification is all about process. One counterfeit part can be manufactured with exactly the same materials, look like the original; but without the process and quality control that is demanded in the industry, That part may be a disaster waiting to happen.
Laser marking offers traceability on the spot. Aerospace parts can be marked with alphanumeric or complex codes assuring the part can be traced back to its origin and be certified for a particular application or repair job.
Laser engraving can not be easily altered without substantial damage to the part. Check our solutions using power lasers 80 watts and up for medium speed engraving.
